Paul was always meant to be an artist. He started as an ' art critic ' for his father when he was only still a young boy. His Dad, artist Ron Krebs, used Pauls bedroom for his art studio and also took Paul on his painting and sketching trips to the local wharf in Brisbane. Perhaps it was this early and intense exposure which developed his skill in all things visual. It seems that Paul can come up with a quick sketch for anything on demand and certainly his design ability cannot be doubted when one sees the exquisite and original pieces of furniture which he has designed. Of course this translates into an aesthetically pleasing balance in every item he creates.
Paul's initial trade was in 'Coach and Motor Body Building' (the construction of the bodies of buses and trains. Although this seems an unlikely beginning for an accomplished woodworker it supplied a wonderful base of skills in many areas from which to begin. Perhaps this mini gallery will be the picture/s that are worth a thousand words. Happy browsing. |
